Tobacco Valley Teachers Federal Credit Union Goes Red for Women in February

Enfield, CT – February 6, 2019 - The Tobacco Valley Teachers Federal Credit Union (TVTFCU) kicked off the American Heart Association’s (AHA) “Go Red for Women” campaign on Friday, February 1, National Wear Red Day. This movement was started by the AHA to bring awareness to the fact that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in the United States, claiming more lives than all forms of cancer combined. According to the AHA, it doesn’t affect all women alike, and the warning signs for women aren’t the same as in men. The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement advocates for more research and swifter action for women’s heart health for this very reason.

“In an effort to help bring awareness to this cause, we are accepting donations all month to benefit the American Heart Association. We appreciate the assistance from our staff and members in helping in whatever way they can. said Lori Triba, Manager/CEO, for the Tobacco Valley Teachers Federal Credit Union.
